Mid September 2004 the re-launch of the PLAYMOBIL® knights theme will continue with 5 more sets. The Royal Knights are cast to be the 'good guys' in the updated medieval theme, and have the Large Kings Castle as their home base.

Aside from the new impressive castles, we also came across some interesting new armor parts and improvements in the figures and accessories:

3268 LARGE KINGS CASTLE
Probably one of the best designed buildings that ever existed in the PLAYMOBIL® assortment. Composed of unusually large pieces so that the average construction time is surprisingly short.

3287 TOURNAMENT KNIGHTS
When all disputes are settled with the neighboring kingdoms, and there's really nothing interesting going on, the royal knights can always fight boredom with a nice Jousting Tournament.

3314 TREASURE TRANSPORT
Shining gold coins are transported by these brave royal knights and their transport wagon.

3315 DARK KNIGHT
It's not really one of the royal knights, but he's going to stand by their side when trouble arises.

3315 ROYAL CANONIER
Did medieval knights have these sorts of canons and ballistic defenses? Maybe the late middle ages? All right, let's not indulge into a round of nitpicking about the historically accurateness of this new knights theme. It looks cool, though, this field canon.
